The Opportunity We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Reception Assistant to join a dedicated team, acting as the first point of contact for all visitors, internal staff, and external clients. This role plays a vital part in providing a welcoming and efficient front-of-house service while delivering key administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing reception duties, including answering calls, handling post, and greeting visitors, jurors, witnesses, and legal teams.
  • Providing advice and guidance on security requirements, courtroom procedures, and identity document requirements.
  • Ensuring up-to-date knowledge of organisational policies and procedures, sharing information with colleagues.
  • Managing courtroom bookings and supporting administrative tasks.
  • Assisting in monitoring and evaluating reception service performance.
  • Maintaining confidentiality while handling sensitive information.
  • Diffusing challenging situations and handling occasional confrontational behaviour professionally.
What Were Looking For:
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) with a Level 2 Customer Service qualification or relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a professional environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Experience working within a team and developing positive working relationships.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
