People Consultant

Chelmsford

12 Month Fixed term contract

£47,000 - £56,000

ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment of a People Consultant on an initial 12 month fixed term contract.

The role will coach managers, to develop capability and confidence in managing people and change.

Responsibilities:

  • Influencing the design, implementation and evaluation of people strategies, policies and initiatives.
  • Building organisational capability through effective collaboration with leaders and stakeholders.
  • Coaching leaders and managers in dealing with business change project implementation.
  • Leading the delivery of projects to meet defined outcomes within agreed timescales.
  • Proactively contributing to addressing underlying business issues and improve performance.
  • Partnering with People & OD teams to integrate people practices into leadership, management and talent development.
  • Evaluating the impact of people initiatives, measuring key performance indicators and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Managing highly complex and difficult conversations.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant professional field, such as Human Resources, Organisational Development or equivalent by experience.
  • Professional membership of CIPD or working towards this.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development and broad knowledge across the HR spectrum.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex people, process and systems issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of change management techniques and experience of engaging leaders.
  • Demonstrable experience in acting as people lead in project and programme management.
  • Knows how to design and develop people activities and interventions to improve business outcomes.
  • Understanding of the broad employee relations landscape.
