For over 60 years, Reed’s engineering and manufacturing specialists have been recruiting professionals like you for permanent, temporary and contract positions.We are currently working with an organisation in Mid Essex who are looking to hire an R&D Test Engineer.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of life sciences equipment, with an international client base. This is a newly created position to support with the continued growth and investment in their product range.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experiments and tests on prototypes and production devices.
  • Support the building of prototypes and test equipment.
  • Diagnose and solve testing issues.
  • Discuss test results, interpret data, and produce reports.
  • Identify design, testing, and manufacturing improvements.
  • Assist project teams and participate in meetings.
  • Follow safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

  • Extensive lab experience and test method development.
  • Proficient in interpreting lab data.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and database systems.
  • Maintain a tidy lab environment.
  • Apply safe work systems.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Understanding of the scientific method.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and report writing.
