The Role
As a Graduate Town Planner, you will play a key role in delivering planning projects for a range of clients, from local authorities to private developers. This role will allow you to develop a broad understanding of the planning process, including site assessments, planning applications, policy writing, and liaising with stakeholders.

You will be involved in a variety of projects, including residential, mixed-use, and commercial developments, and have the chance to work alongside experienced planners who will guide you through the early stages of your career.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications
Conduct site appraisals and provide planning advice to clients
Research and analyse planning policy and regulations
Prepare planning reports, presentations, and documents for clients and stakeholders
Liaise with local authorities, developers, and other external partners
Contribute to team meetings and collaborate on planning strategies

Skills and Experience Required:

A relevant degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
Strong understanding of UK planning policy and regulations
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office and planning software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

Some experience or internship within the planning sector
Knowledge of GIS software
