The Role - Solicitor Family Law

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Family Solicitor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Family Law.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake fee earning work, working both independently, with minimal supervision and as a member of the team.
  • Maintain existing relations with the firm's clients and assist and help develop new relationships with third party referrers.
  • Work closely with other departments within the firm on joint projects. Participate in the growth and future development of the department, assisting in building the client base and marketing the Firm's services.
  • Comply with the Firm's policies in the carrying out of duties and to assist Partners and other fee earners in achieving a smooth output of work.
  • Achieve agreed financial targets, both in respect of fee income and the recording of chargeable hours.
  • Adhere to all FJG policies, procedures and requirements - this includes maintaining the client database and following compliance regulations
  • Keep legal knowledge up to date and continue personal and professional development

Experience

  • Law degree and other relevant qualification for example the LPC.
  • Experience of working within a law firm. Ideally 10+ years PQE
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Proven track record of meeting targets Experience of working with case management system (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload
  • A good level of IT competency, including Microsoft Office Suite15
