For over 60 years, Reed’s engineering and manufacturing specialists have been recruiting professionals like you for permanent, temporary and contract positions.We are currently working with an organisation in Essex who are looking to hire a Quality Engineer.

They are a well established, and well regarded engineering company that supply into a number of different sectors and they require an additional member of staff due to increased workload. 

This is a full time permanent position.

Responsibilities: 

  • Audit and improve processes
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality issues
  • Manage customer concerns using RCA and CAPA techniques
  • Investigate internal non-conformities
  • Conduct supplier quality audits and support FAIRs process
  • Manage document control and change management
  • Implement 5S and Lean techniques
  • Support HSE projects for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations

Skills & Experience required:  

  • Extensive Quality Assurance expertise, including AS9100 QMS management and auditing, non-conformance investigation, risk-based thinking, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes, especially CNC machining.
  • Familiarity with or ability to learn Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines independently.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and develop team members.
  • Proactive approach to Health & Safety.
  • Commitment to improving environmental impact.
