Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team and support students in their academic and personal development. This role mirrors the responsibilities of a Learning mentor, focusing on helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

As a Learning Mentor, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students in one-to-one or small group settings.
  • Assist with academic work, personal development, and emotional well-being.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement effective learning strategies.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and engagement.
  • Offer mentoring, motivation, and encouragement to students who may face challenges.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Experience working in an educational or mentoring role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to student support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, Teaching Assistant Certificate, or equivalent) - desirable but not essential.
