Hours: 9am – 5pm

Location: Chelmsford

Salary: £23,000 - £26,000

I am excited to be recruiting a Family Paralegal on the behalf of a well-established, successful Law Firm based in Chelmsford.

Duties

  • Assist the Fee Earner with both private and legal aid family law cases.
  • Draft correspondence to clients via letters and emails. Update clients on the status of their cases.
  • Conduct research on relevant laws, precedents, and case details.
  • Create court applications and legal aid applications.
  • Meet with clients, understand their needs and take instructions.
  • Liaise with 3rd parties, professionals and the other side.
  • Attend hearings with the Solicitor.
  • Draft witness statements, consent orders, form Es and briefs to counsel.
  • Prepare court bundles.

Experience

  • 1 years+ experience working as a Paralegal within Family law at a Law Firm
  • Law degree completed heavily desired
  • Ability to manage a fast paced and busy environment
