Original Talent Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our client after recently opening a new branch in Chelmsford.

The business has been established over 20 years with offices globally with a £1.2M T/O.

They are now in a position to recruit for an experienced Sea Freight Operations Coordinator to join the team.

As this is a new role to the business, as the team grows there will be an opportunity for you to step into a management role and grow the team

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Oversee Sea Import and Export operations
  • Handle customs procedures
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, hauliers and shipping lines
  • Work closely with the director on all things operations
  • Provide quotes and negotiate freight rates
  • Keep customers up to date on delays
  • Manage the shipments from start through to completion

Ideally you will:

  • Have over 2 years experience in similar position
  • Have a good understanding of Customs, Import and Export processes
  • Be able to manage Sea Freight shipments from start through to completion
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Have strong knowledge of LCL & FCL
