Job Purpose:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and driving a maintenance strategy aimed at improving efficiency, effectiveness, and proactive maintenance practices. You will lead a skilled team, ensure resource optimization, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering team, setting and maintaining high standards.
  • Develop and mentor maintenance leads, with regular objectives and appraisals.
  • Oversee the training and development of apprentices in the engineering maintenance program.
  • Ensure the delivery of training and development plans aligned with business requirements.
  • Support the business with all site-related engineering activities.
  • Assist in budget allocation, spending control, and monitor monthly performance.
  • Champion health & safety, quality, and operational excellence across the department.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of industry health and safety standards.
  • Meticulous and logical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Extensive maintenance experience with a track record of delivering successful programs.
  • Engineering Level 3 or HNC qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Best Practices and digital software for maintenance management.
