Our client, a leading player in the advanced manufacturing sector, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Manager to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to drive the growth and operational excellence of a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Chelmsford. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant to ensure production targets are met
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance production capabilities, workflow, and plant performance
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to align manufacturing goals with the company's strategic objectives
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe and productive work environment
  • Manage budget and financial performance, including cost control, inventory management, and capital expenditures
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet the revenue target
  • Drive initiatives for lean manufacturing, quality assurance, and process improvement to enhance product quality and reduce waste

Experience required for this exciting Manufacturing Manager role:

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role within the manufacturing industry
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM programming
  • Chartered Mechanical Engineer with experience within the precision engineering industry
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive operational improvements
  • Financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control
