Production Controller
Location: Chelmsford
Hours: 39 hrs per week Mon- Fri
Salary: 15 per hour
Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, healthcare, overtime options
Adecco are excited to be working alongside their client based in Chelmsford, who are looking to hire a Production Controller to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be the customers main point of contact and ensure Customers orders are delivered on time and to cost.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for internal production planning and material scheduling activity of Customer order books
- Control of all materials and components from suppliers, through production and subcontractors to customer delivery
- Management of daily / weekly production schedules in line with manufacturing capacities and customer demand
- Work closely with the Shop Floor Supervisor to ensure work loaded efficiently and scheduled to ensure customer required dates are met
- Participate in daily meetings
- Gather customers' orders and prepare detailed production reports that serve as guides in manufacturing the product
- Achieving sales targets and OTD
- Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company
- To provide covering support to Production Planner when required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A strong organiser is essential
- Good working knowledge of Excel essential
- Strong communication skills are essential
- Must be numerate
- Mechanical/Machine Shop experience highly desirable but not essential
- Previous Production Control experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential
