Salary: 44,772 + Benefits
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights, 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am)

Job Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Services Shift Engineer to join a critical site in Little Waltham. This role requires a multi-skilled engineer with a background in mechanical or electrical maintenance, ideally within a healthcare or hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems.
  • Perform scheduled installation works to ensure efficient building operations.
  • Provide technical engineering support to the Hard FM Services team.
  • Maintain accurate records and paperwork to support PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) activities.
  • Respond to reactive and emergency faults, ensuring compliance with KPI targets.
  • Supervise and oversee specialist sub-contractors and manage permit-to-work systems.
  • Undertake Authorised Person (AP) / Responsible Person (RP) duties as required.
  • Support other technicians and provide cover when necessary.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and complete overtime when needed.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in a multi-skilled building services maintenance role.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong understanding of M&E maintenance, compliance, and safety regulations.
