Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our highly reputable client who specialise in fleet and vehicle management solutions.

This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity to support the Sales and Operations teams. It is ideal for someone with a background in vehicle CCTV, fleet management, telematics, vehicle connectivity, and passenger Wi-Fi. The perfect candidate will be motivated and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. As the company grows, this position also offers the potential to advance into Engineering Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customers' sites to perform installations of vehicle systems.
  • Service and maintain vehicle CCTV, blind spot detection systems, lights, beacons, and other safety equipment for various commercial vehicles.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of our products and their value to customers' businesses.
  • Test and calibrate the equipment to ensure optimum performance.
  • Work efficiently to ensure the tasks are completed within the specified timeframe.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, environmental responsibility, and health and safety, continuously striving for improvement and working without compromise to meet our customers' needs.


Experience Required:
  • Experience with 12VDC and 24VDC automotive electrical systems.
  • Previous experience in automotive electrical testing and installation.
  • Auto electrician qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) is desired.
  • Must have experience working with HGVs, LGVs, or vans, and a strong passion for working with vehicles.
  • Basic IT skills for inputting data into a system.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
