Job Description

Syntech Recruitment are currently working with a sheet metalwork manufacturers based in Essex who are at the forefront of precision engineering, delivering cutting-edge solutions to industries that demand nothing but the best. They specialize in precision sheet metalwork, machining and fabrication, serving dynamic sectors including aerospace, automotive, medical and electronics. They truly believe in pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

They are currently looking for a Mechanical Inspector to join their fast-paced and expanding team. This is a full-time role based at their state-of-the-art machine shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections of CNC machined parts.
  • Maintain quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
  • Utilize hand-held measuring equipment and height gauges to ensure quality and precision.
  • Assist with the upkeep of calibration records and processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace using 5S methods.


Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment essential, ideally within the medical, automotive, or aerospace industry.
  • Must have familiarity with interpreting standard engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD & T measurement.
  • Experience with calibration and maintaining quality standards.
  • CMM programming or report production (e.g., First Article and Initial Sample Inspection Reports) is not essential but advantageous.
