I am working with a precision engineering company established in 2003, specialising in sub-contract milling, turning, presswork projects to the defence communications and medical sectors.
About the Role:
Due to organic growth they are now looking to add new talent to the team.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist or manufacturing engineer looking to transition into a production engineering role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quoting work for customers and providing accurate cost estimations.
- Designing tooling and developing efficient production methods.
- Progressing customer orders and ensuring timely delivery.
- Liaising with shop floor staff to ensure smooth production processes.
What We're Looking For:
- Apprentice trained or a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles.
- Strong knowledge of milling, turning, and press work processes is essential.
- Knowledge of Tricorn MRP (advantageous).
- Experience with AutoCAD (advantageous).
- Proficient in computer skills and familiarity with production planning tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
What We Offer:
- Salary circa 27k - 47k depending on level of experience the candidate can bring
- 37 hours per week.
