Working in a vibrant Engineering team, the successful Principal Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer candidate will be tasked with taking concepts all the way through to manufacture. This includes everything from requirements gathering, specifications, detailed design, simulations, material selection, test & development, certification, build and assembly.
To be considered you will need to be technically strong and ideally have experience in the Space industry.The companys product also incorporates many disciplines so experience working with RF, Electronics, Software engineers etc. would be highly beneficial.
Opto-Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:
- Degree level in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
- 3D CAD Creo (or similar)
- Proven track record delivering Mechanical/System/optic Designs for the Space industry(or very similar industries such as Aerospace/Defence/Medical)
- Strong FEA simulation skills (static & dynamic)
- GD&T
- Experience working with high tolerances or in a highly regulated industry.
