I am seeking an People Consultant to join my Client's People Services team, supporting the delivery of their workforce strategy and functional people strategies. This role is ideal for a strong HR professional with expertise in organisational change projects and complex employment cases. You will work collaboratively across business functions to improve outcomes, mitigate risks, and add value to our organisation and employees.

Job Description:
  • Influence the design, implementation, and evaluation of people strategies, policies, and initiatives to enhance overall effectiveness and performance.
  • Build organisational capability through effective collaboration with leaders and stakeholders, providing expert advice and solutions.
  • Coach leaders and managers in dealing with business change project implementation and moderate to high complexity cases.
  • Use professional judgement in making effective decisions and take shared accountability with the business for continuous improvement in business outcomes.
  • Lead the delivery of projects to meet defined outcomes within agreed timescales.
  • Proactively contribute to intelligence and insight gathering to address underlying business issues and improve performance.
  • Partner with People & OD teams to integrate people practices into various organisational agendas, ensuring alignment between structure, systems, processes, and culture.
  • Evaluate the impact of people initiatives, measuring key performance indicators and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Manage highly complex and difficult conversations; present, explain, motivate, engage, and influence at all levels.
  • Regularly update knowledge and skills to meet evolving standards, integrating the CIPD profession map and its framework into all actions.
Education & Qualifications:
  • Educated to degree level in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or equivalent by experience.
  • Professional membership of CIPD at Chartered level or working towards this.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development with broad knowledge across the HR spectrum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships.
  • Ability to analyse people and business metrics, develop insight, and influence decision-making.
  • Experience in change management and engaging leaders and managers in ownership of change.
  • Demonstrable experience in project and programme management as a people lead.
  • Understanding of the broad employee relations landscape and legal context in which HR operates.
