  • Annual Salary: Negotiable
  • Location: Countryside Office in Hatfield Peverel (own transport required)
  • Job Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm)

Join a family-run business specialising in landscape and grounds maintenance, tree surgery, and related services. My client are looking for an Office Administrator to manage daily administrative tasks and ensure the smooth operation of their modern countryside office. The ideal candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in office software applications.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Monitor operatives, vehicles, and teams on-site in real time, using data to report and address issues and concerns.
  • Maintain effective communication within the team and with clients.
  • Perform daily office administration tasks efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including handling phone calls confidently.
  • Liaise with Directors on issues related to the role.
  • Maintain a complete overview of all operations within the office to provide cover as needed.
  • Organise and prioritise workload, adapting to sudden changes and late amendments.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance office efficiency.
  • Utilise IT skills, particularly in Excel and Word, to manage office tasks.
  • Understand clerical procedures and office management practices.
  • Handle financial documents such as quotes, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Manage daily diaries, organise schedules, and upload jobs for operatives.
  • Manage emails thoughtfully and sensitively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative role.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of clerical procedures and office management.
  • Experience with financial document management.
  • Understanding of purchase and sales ledgers; experience with Sage Line 50 accounts is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes.
