** Be confident and enthusiastic with a passion for teaching

** Possess excellent communication and class management skills

** Create a safe, positive and supportive classroom environment

** Supervise learners and keep them engaged

** Be able to work on your own initiative

** Be comfortable in being at the front of the classroom, managing a classroom and ensuring learners stay on task

** Be flexible and adaptable to work in different subject areas
