I am exclusively working with a client in Chelmsford, who are looking for a Payroll/ Accounts Assistant on a permanent full-time basis.The roleThis role is a mixture of payment & receipts tasks and bank reconciliations to complete monthly. But also completing the payroll for clients within the team.Duties will include:
  • Purchase ledger invoice processing
  • Bank Reconciliations for payroll
  • Bacs payment files
  • Posting and admin for client payroll records
  • Client instructions and payroll runs
  • Payroll submissions
  • Processing pensions
  • Dealing with HMRC and queries
To be considered for the role you must have:
  • Experience of working in a payroll 
  • Knowledge of payroll systems 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • High level of attention to detail 
  • Self-motivated and able to work alone but also suitable to working as a team player
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality
  • IT literate including basic MS Office skills
