Hunter AHP are currently recruiting a Locum Clinical Pharmacist to join a respected NHS hospital in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and dedicated pharmacist to contribute to high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive hospital environment.
Location: NHS Hospital, Essex
Hourly Rate: £32 to £37 per hour
Start Date: Immediate, ongoing contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical pharmacy services to hospital wards, ensuring optimal medication management and patient safety.
- Review and interpret medication orders, conducting medication therapy reviews.
- Participate in ward rounds with multidisciplinary teams to optimise treatment plans.
- Advise healthcare professionals on safe and effective drug therapies.
- Offer counselling to patients on their medications and ensure adherence.
- Contribute to the hospital’s medication safety initiatives and support ongoing clinical audits.
Requirements:
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
- Prior experience as a Clinical Pharmacist within an NHS hospital setting.
- Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to make informed decisions regarding patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare teams.
