Job Description:
Hunter AHP is seeking an experienced Locum Medicines Management Technician to join a reputable NHS hospital in Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the pharmacy team in ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicines across the hospital, contributing directly to patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of medicines across inpatient and outpatient services.
- Support the implementation and review of medicine management policies and procedures.
- Work with clinical teams to ensure patients receive the correct medications and doses.
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Conduct medicines reconciliation on patient admissions and discharges.
- Monitor medication stock levels, ensuring optimal inventory management.
- Provide advice and support to healthcare professionals regarding medicines management.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in medicines management is essential.
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) or relevant qualification.
- Experience working in a hospital or NHS setting is desirable.
- Good knowledge of medicines management procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
Hourly Rates:
The position offers competitive hourly rates between £15 to £23 per hour, depending on experience. The role is flexible, with the option to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week, providing a great work-life balance.
