We're Hiring: Pharmacy Technician
We are excited to be recruiting a Pharmacy Technician on behalf of our client for a vital role within a prison healthcare setting. This position is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring the effective delivery of pharmacy services to the prison population.
About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the safe administration of medication, managing pharmaceutical services, and providing essential guidance to patients, prison staff, and healthcare professionals. Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to improving healthcare outcomes within the prison.
Your responsibilities will include:
Dispensing and administering medications safely and efficiently
Providing medicines management support
Educating patients on correct medication use
Recognising signs of drug and alcohol withdrawal and supporting affected individuals
Collaborating with healthcare teams, prison staff, and external organisations
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with security and safety regulations
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualification
Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience in a prison or secure healthcare setting (The client is willing to get you prison cleared)
Background in multidisciplinary healthcare teams
