A warm and welcoming mainstream primary school in Chelmsford, are seeking a passionate EYFS Assistant Teacher, to join their team as soon as possible. This s a long-term role with the view of going permanent. The Head Teacher is open to offering the suitable candidate the opportunity to undertake Teacher Training within the school from August 2025.

This is the ideal opportunity for someone who aspires to be an EYFS Teacher but would like to gain invaluable hands-on experience and a greater understanding of the EYFS curriculum and setting.

About the role:

You will help children in Reception class adapt to their new environment and reach personal and academic goals. You will assist the Teacher in creating fun, engaging and immersive learning experiences for these young learners while also ensuring a safe and happy environment for them to flourish and grow. You will gain experience with the schools phonics, reading and numeracy schemes while also getting exceptional training such as safe guarding, first aid, Prevent, FGM, County lines etc. There is also ample opportunities for you to undertake courses to improve your knowledge and skills, ensuring career progression in the future

Key responsibilities within the role:

  • Providing support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate and learn
  • Building and maintaining successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration
