Quality Inspector (Night Shift) - Aerospace Engineering

Are you a meticulous Quality Inspector with experience in aerospace manufacturing? Our client in Chelmsford is looking for a dedicated professional to join their night shift team, ensuring all products meet the highest industry standards before release. If you have a strong background in inspection, testing, and compliance within an AS9100 environment, this is an excellent opportunity to progress your career.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out detailed inspections and testing of aerospace components to ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards.
Review and verify subcontractor purchase orders and incoming certifications for accuracy and conformance.
Perform FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports), qualification, and final release activities, including COFC sign-off.
Use a range of precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, CMMs, and shadowgraphs.
Ensure product traceability, batch control, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) compliance.
Monitor subcontractor performance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Work closely with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.

Requirements:

Experience in quality inspection within aerospace or precision engineering.
Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 quality management systems.
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and interpreting engineering drawings.
Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Willingness to work night shifts.
