Reed’s engineering and manufacturing specialists are recruiting for a Quality Inspector position in Essex.
This is a full-time permanent role on the late shift due to increased workload at a well-regarded engineering company.
Candidates should have previous experience in a Quality or Mechanical Inspector role and knowledge of inspection equipment and techniques.
Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001 is required, and CMM experience is preferred.
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a minimum of 2 years required in a similar role.

They are a well established, and well regarded engineering company that supply into a number of different sectors and they require an additional member of staff due to increased workload.

This is a full time permanent position working the late shift.

Responsibilities:

Inspect, test, and evaluate components to ensure they meet safety standards
Use of various mechanical inspection equipment to ensure conformance
First off approval, batch and final inspection
Improvement of the inspection processes to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness
Check and complete all necessary paperwork / reporting

Skills & Experience required:

Previous experience in a Quality / Mechanical Inspector role
Knowledge of inspection equipment and techniques
Familiar with quality standards such as ISO 9001
CMM experience preferred
