For over 60 years, Reed’s engineering and manufacturing specialists have been recruiting professionals like you for permanent, temporary and contract positions.We are currently working with an organisation in Essex who are looking to hire a Quality Inspector.

They are a well established, and well regarded engineering company that supply into a number of different sectors and they require an additional member of staff due to increased workload. 

This is a full time permanent position working the late shift.

Responsibilities: 

  • Inspect, test, and evaluate components to ensure they meet safety standards
  • Use of various mechanical inspection equipment to ensure conformance 
  • First off approval, batch and final inspection
  • Improvement of the inspection processes to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness
  • Check and complete all necessary paperwork / reporting

Skills & Experience required:  

  • Previous experience in a Quality / Mechanical Inspector role 
  • Knowledge of inspection equipment and techniques
  • Familiar with quality standards such as ISO 9001
  • CMM experience preferred
