EA Associates are currentlyrecruiting for a Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join a Passive Fire Protection contractor based in Chelmsford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experiencedQS or a seasoned Commercial Manager to play a pivotal role in a thriving business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full quantity surveying and commercial management of fire protection and fire door projects.
  • Manage project costs effectively, ensuring profitability and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Lead and mentor junior members of the commercial team, fostering development and performance.
  • Handle procurement, subcontractor management, and valuations.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager, ideally within Fire Protection, but open to candidates from other specialist trades or a main contracting background.
  • Strong knowledge of contracts, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop team members.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commercial acumen.
