They are renowned for their commitment to quality, innovation, and community, they are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on a 9-month fixed-term basis.

Role Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction of residential house building frame projects, ensuring value for money while achieving required standards and quality. You will work closely with site and project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the smooth commercial delivery of our developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and management of project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts
  • Procurement of subcontractors and materials in line with company procedures
  • Valuation of works and preparation of interim and final accounts
  • Cost control, cash flow forecasting, and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies
  • Liaise with project teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure cost-effective delivery
  • Attend site and client meetings as required
  • Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external use

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in residential construction, preferably with a developer or main contractor
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge (JCT contracts preferred)
  • Proficient in MS Office and cost management software
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Full UK driving licence
