Key Responsibilities:
- Managing cost control procedures including financial planning, estimating, budgeting, and cost reporting
- Administering NEC contracts to ensure compliance and successful project delivery
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders and contracts
- Conducting risk and value management and cost control
- Advising on procurement strategy and identifying potential improvements
- Monitoring project costs and reporting any variances to senior management
- Collaborating with site managers, clients, contractors, and design teams
- Providing accurate forecasting and managing project budgets effectively
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the highways sector
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and their administration
- Experience in civil engineering projects, with an understanding of heavy civils being beneficial
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in cost management software and financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualification in quantity surveying or a related field
