An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an award-winning developer based in North Essex. Specialising in high-end new build and heritage projects, this company is renowned for delivering exceptional quality in the residential sector. They are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and play a key role in managing the financial aspects of prestigious developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in managing cost estimation, budgeting, and financial reporting for multiple projects, from pre-construction to final account.
- Oversee the procurement process and manage subcontractor relationships.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget by monitoring costs and progress.
- Provide contract administration support, including managing variations, claims, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Work closely with the project team to identify and resolve issues relating to cost control and contract performance.
- Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tender documents.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and maintain accurate records of costs and financial data.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Chartered status (RICS) is desirable but not essential.
