We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor working on a major civils infrastructure project in Essex. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a leading role in delivering a high-profile and technically demanding project in the region.
About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take charge of managing the financial and contractual aspects of this significant civils infrastructure project. This role is ideal for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to make a real impact while working on challenging and impactful projects in Essex.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Managing project budgets, costs, and financial forecasting
- Administering contracts and ensuring compliance with NEC or other relevant frameworks
- Leading the preparation and negotiation of final accounts
- Collaborating with the project team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
- Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and address any cost-related issues
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the civils or infrastructure sector
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with the project team
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing costs and contracts
