Receptionist/HR Support
12 months temporary contract
Monday - Friday 9am - 3pm
Our client is a food procution business who supply some of the largest UK food stores. They are looking for a proactive and organised person to join the team for 12 months until November 2025.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assess visitor needs and guide them to the appropriate destination.
- Answer, screen, and transfer phone calls promptly and professionally. Process queries that come through telephone, email, post etc. accordingly.
- Take messages and relay information, as necessary.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming.
- Monitor and order office supplies as needed to keep the reception area stocked.
- Ensure visitor logs are maintained and monitor access to the office.
- Organise inductions for new members of staff. Set them up in HR with paperwork and support HR with the induction process.
- Issue holiday forms/return to work forms/timesheets etc. to employees that require them.
- Answer employee question’s queries they may have to the best of your ability or direct them to a supervisor or manager who will be able to help.
- Book employees in for training with relevant organisations.
HR Duties may include:
- Provide support to your colleagues in the HR Department and work together to ensure the smooth running of the department. Organisation is key and vital to keeping the HR department running to a high standard.
- Set up and maintain files for employees. This includes keeping their personal details up to date and communicating with the employees to provide up to date information.
- Advise and support managers and supervisors to manage their employees through the company’s policies and procedures. Use Worknest to gather legal advice when needed and ensure that the correct processes are followed. Support by acting as note taker in meetings where necessary.
- Work alongside the managers in the company to organise and conduct interviews and inductions. Ensure that all new and current employees have up-to-date Right to Work Documentation.
- Report any non-conformities to the relevant persons as soon as possible and support the team to ensure that all non-conformities are dealt appropriately and within a timely manner.
- Cover HR absences and holidays where needed.
This role is suited to someone with previous receptionist, HR or admin expereince.
