As a Transport Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Transport Department by providing accurate and timely administrative assistance. You will ensure that records and paperwork align with the Department's Standard Operating Procedures, and help with the smooth day-to-day operations, such as planning driver assignments and responding to customer service inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support, including organizing and filing Transport-related paperwork such as PODs (Proof of Delivery) and Attestation Letters.
  • Use the Vehicle Booking System (VBS) to arrange collections and deliveries to various ports across the United Kingdom.
  • Plan driver start times to meet operational requirements and prevent delays in the workflow.
  • Assist with the compliance agenda by escalating defect reports to Transport Coordinators and Senior Transport Coordinators.
  • Conduct routine spot-checks on drivers to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Track the status of deliveries and keep Operators informed about delivery updates.

You will be responsible for:

  • Meeting departmental KPIs, specifically in relation to timely deliveries.
  • Scanning, filing, and maintaining all Transport-related documentation.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and programs such as Windows and Office 365.
  • Transport knowledge is preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and think creatively to solve problems.
