Sales Assistant Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Assistant to join this companies dedicated internal sales team at their Witham branch. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to contributing to the branch’s sales efforts, including pricing and selling a wide range of materials through various channels such as email, phone, and face-to-face interactions over our trade counter. 

Day to Day of the role:
  • Serving customers on our trade counter with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Handling end-of-day banking and cashing up procedures.
  • Managing the internal estimating system by pricing tenders, tracking projects, and liaising with the sales team on won/lost projects.
  • Processing orders accurately and promptly.
  • Answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate departments.
  • Negotiating prices with customers and suppliers to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Proactively seeking opportunities to increase branch turnover and profit.
  • Undertaking additional duties within the sales office as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent telephone manner and high standards of customer service.
  • A proactive and sales-driven attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Computer literacy and strong administrative skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to multitask.
  • Confidence in handling various tasks and engaging with customers and team members.
