My client, a highly reputable business located on the outskirts of Chelmsford, is excited to invite a motivated and detail-oriented Part Time Accounts Administrator to join their fantastic team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to grow, learn, and contribute to a thriving business!
As the Part Time Accounts Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting with sales ledger administration
- Generating accurate sales invoices and payment applications while understanding payment terms
- Collaborating with Project Managers to ensure timely interim invoices are raised and paid
- Processing sales commissions and payments received
- Answering enquiries and directing emails to the relevant department or person
- Composing professional emails, letters, and phone calls
- Ensuring all outgoing correspondence is well presented and error-free
- Issuing customer account statements
- Performing credit control duties
- Collecting weekly sales data for analysis
- Updating the customer database
- Accurately inputting sales invoices, payments received, and supplier invoices
- Inputting new customer and supplier details on SAGE, ensuring details are updated correctly
- Inputting the installation schedule and project information on SAGE
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing customers and suppliers
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A track record of thriving as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
- An understanding of confidentiality and a trustworthy, discreet approach to sensitive data
- A professional telephone manner paired with exceptional communication skills
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in your work
- The ability to work independently, multi-task, and effectively prioritise a busy workload, even under tight deadlines
- A willingness to learn and improve continuously
- Strong mathematical skills
- Own transport for commuting
- Experience using Sage (desirable)
