We are recruiting for a P401 qualified Asbestos Lab Analyst in the Essex area. The company is a UKAS Accredited outfit, with a good reputation within the industry and excellent training opportunities. You must have a well-rounded understanding of industry standards and remain up-to-date with any changes, as well as a thorough approach. Candidates will need to be commutable to the laboratory on a daily basis. For successful applicants, they can offer competitive salaries and benefits packages.

You must be commutable to: Chelmsford, Maldon, Ingatestone, Braintree, Witham, Billericay, Wickford, Rayleigh, Basildon, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Stanford-le-Hope, Grays, Tilbury, Rainham, Dagenham, Hornchurch, Romford, Ilford, Barking, Chigwell, Southend-on-Sea, Rochford, Burnham-on-Crouch.

Experience / Qualifications:
- Must be qualified with the BOHS P401 qualification
- Will have worked as a Lab Analyst within a UKAS Accredited Asbestos firm
- Excellent written and IT proficiency
- Organised and meticulous work ethic
- Professional manner
- Able to work both independently and within a team

The Role:
- Completing bulk analysis of suspected asbestos containing materials, through Stereo and Polarised Light Microscopy
- Fibre counting
- Logging results into company databases
- Issuing result certificates to Clients
- Maintaining laboratory workspaces and equipment, including arranging repairs
- Conducting Internal Audits
- Participating in AIMS and quality control schemes
