Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEMH Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering tailored educational programs to students with SEMH needs, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, and working closely with other staff members to ensure the well-being and academic progress of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in SEMH education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive education.
