Working Pattern: Wednesday to Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced English Teacher to join our team on a part-time, long-term basis in Chelmsford. 

About the Role:
As a valued member of our English department, you will be responsible for teaching both KS3 and KS4 students, covering all standard teaching requirements, including lesson planning, grading, and delivering engaging lessons. Your commitment to fostering a positive and inspiring learning environment will be essential, and we are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running, bringing strong teaching skills and subject knowledge to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons for KS3 and KS4 students in alignment with curriculum standards
  • Foster an engaging and supportive classroom environment to promote student learning and achievement
  • Use innovative teaching methods to inspire students and support varied learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to teaching across the department

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant qualifications in English
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 levels
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with colleagues and students
