JOB OPPORTUNITY:

 

For September 2025, we have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional practitioner to join us as a Teacher of English from September 2025 on a full-time, permanent basis. We are looking to appoint an inspirational and ambitious teacher, with the necessary knowledge, expertise and experience of teaching English Language and English Literature across the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 age and ability range, with the potential of teaching A-level Media Studies or English Literature.

 

We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable English teacher to join our team. This is an opportunity to work as part of a highly effective team and learn from excellent teachers and leaders. We require a teacher with an area of specialism in teaching English Language and English Literature up to GCSE. Experience of teaching A-level is welcomed.

 

The successful applicant will be an outstanding professional who is able to demonstrate high standards for teaching and learning so that students of all abilities are enthused, challenged, and motivated to succeed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A TEACHER OF ENGLISH

 

To plan, resource and deliver well-structured lessons and sequences of lessons to the highest of standard, following the school's curriculum and schemes of work. Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned students Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of students to ensure rapid progress Promote excellent progress and outcomes for all students by contributing to the enrichment and extra-curricular activities of the department Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school's policies and practises Make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school  

 

We are looking for someone who has:

 

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Good academics across the board Excellent subject knowledge and expertise in teaching English Experience of teaching English Language and English Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 Strong understanding of the latest teaching and learning strategies to support, and motivate students of varying abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
