Tradewind is currently looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or an experienced TA (looking to step up to the next stage in your career) to support a Good ofsted rated 3 form entry primary school in Chelmsford. This is an exciting new challenge for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development, with the ability to take on more responsibilities within the classroom setting.
As an HLTA, you will work closely with the classroom teacher, delivering lessons, guiding small groups, providing tailored interventions to ensure every child has the best chance to succeed. Your expertise and leadership will make a significant difference to the pupil's educational journey.

What We're Looking For
Proven experience working in a primary school setting, ideally as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA.
HLTA qualification or significant relevant experience working at TA level.
Strong understanding of the curriculum and effective strategies to support pupils in their learning and development.
Ability to take initiative and lead small groups or individual sessions effectively.
Fantastic communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with students, parents, and staff.
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with a genuine desire to support and encourage students.
Knowledge of safeguarding practices to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment for all children. ?
Experience working with SEN children
Key Responsibilities
Assist the class teacher in planning, preparing, delivering lessons that meet the needs of all students.
Lead small group activities and deliver interventions to support children in their academic and personal development.
Provide individualised support to students, ensuring their needs are met and progress is tracked.
Help manage classroom behaviour, creating a positive and engaging learning environment for all students.
Monitor and assess progress, offering feedback and identifying areas where students may need additional support.
Support children with additional learning needs, adapting teaching approaches and materials to make learning more accessible.
Promote inclusive learning and help foster an environment where every student feels valued and supported.
Collaborate with the wider school team, including other HLTAs, teachers, and support staff, to ensure the delivery of high-quality education.
