We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Buyer to join our client's procurement team. You will be responsible for purchasing materials and services for production, ensuring smooth and timely operations, and maintaining high-quality standards while minimising costs.
Location - Chelmsford
Hours - full time or part time
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase raw materials, parts, components, and services.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders.
- Ensure quality standards are met for all purchased materials.
- Resolve procurement-related issues promptly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align material needs with production schedules.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Supply Chain or Business qualification preferred.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in production purchasing or supply chain, ideally in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain logistics.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time or Part-time position.
