We are seeking a detail-oriented Production Buyer to join our client's procurement team. You will be responsible for purchasing materials and services for production, ensuring smooth and timely operations, and maintaining high-quality standards while minimising costs.

Location - Chelmsford

Hours - full time or part time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase raw materials, parts, components, and services.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders.
  • Ensure quality standards are met for all purchased materials.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align material needs with production schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Supply Chain or Business qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in production purchasing or supply chain, ideally in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Working Conditions:
