A school in Chelmsford is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from January 2025. This role starts as a long-term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent after a successful probation period.
Role Details:
- Position: Learning Support Assistant (ASD, ADHD & SEMH)
- Key Stages: KS1 & KS2
- Contract: Long-term, with potential for permanency
- Pay: 83 - 110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
- Location: Chelmsford, Essex
- Start Date: ASAP/February 2025

Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs in their daily learning and development.
- Build trust and positive relationships with students.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support plans.
- Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment where students feel valued and encouraged.
- Help students develop essential life and academic skills.
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with students with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
- Ability to build strong rapport with students and establish trust.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting student well-being.
