Our client, a charity in the Essex area; are currently recruiting for a Recovery Worker for their service which specialises in supporting clients with alcohol and opiate misuse issues.Length: 3 months ongoing Location: ChelmsfordHours: Monday to Friday 9-5 and late night on a Tuesday 10.30 -7The position involves:• Supporting a large caseload of clients with their treatment/recovery journey• Conducting interviews, further assessments and recommending appropriate recovery options or additional support services for clients• Facilitating group sessions including one to ones and motivational interviewing• Maintaining accurate and up to date records and following operational monitoring procedures• Completing complex assessment forms catering specifically to the clients group including assessments of newly referred clients from the criminal justice sector• Maintaining sustained engagement from clients in their recovery programme and developing excellent working links between services• Providing screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider communityEssential requirements:• Previous experience working with vulnerable adults and managing a large caseload• Significant experience in assessing clients’ needs within a drug and alcohol service and building appropriate support packages• A recent enhanced DBS with adult’s workforce, preferably within the last year or willingness to obtain a new oneTo apply for this excellent opportunity please email your updated CV to or call
