Staffing Centre are proud to be working in partnership with a leading Residential Children's Home who require Support Workers in which children/Young People can learn life skills and behaviour whilst providing a safe, resilient, caring and homely environment in this fantastic new role.

The Residential Children’s Home supports Children and Young People aged 8 - 17 with Challenging and Emotional Behavioural difficulties that require intervention and support from a Theraputic perspective.

The ideal candidate would be someone who is positive, energetic, and self-motivated with outstanding leadership skills, career driven, has a child-centred approach and who has a desire to make a difference in helping young people develop their independent skills to support their life’s ambitions.

Your new role

You will be supporting children / young people with EBD (emotional and behavioural disorders) on a 1 to 1 and group basis, taking an approach to ensure their needs are met and as you will be working with young people that may sometimes present behaviours that challenge, strong relations will need to be built. This will help to promote a safe, trusting, and professional environment for young people to develop. Additional duties may including things such as general household duties, behavioural/emotional support and going out on activities.

The Children's Home offers a positive therapeutic working environment with knowledgeable senior management and support in all areas of your development - with beautifully decorated homes located in Essex and Suffolk that boast beautifully designed interiors. Our client don't believe in their young people or staff being numbers which is why they ensure they feel at ease and supported throughout, alongside a wide range of training with guidance of a highly experienced Senior Team and bespoke internal Therapeutic training.

Requirements

  • Full "Right to Work".
  • Full UK driving license.
  • At least 6 months of experience within a Childrens / Young people environment.
  • Residential Child Care or equivalent Lvl 3 (desirable).
