Academics are working with a thriving mainstream Primary School who are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate behavioural SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September on a full-time, long-term contract.

This school is seeking an individual who is looking to develop their career in the field of education and gain hands-on experience of supporting children with SEN. You will be given training on strategies and interventions that encourage positive outcomes and development of their pupils.

This role would be best suited to a Psychology graduate who is passionate about analysing behaviour and implementing techniques and coping mechanisms to support SEN pupils to reach their full potential.

What do you need?

  • A psychology degree (or in final year pending completion)
  • Comfortable working with children with complex needs
  • Ability to keep calm in high pressure situations
  • Have a passion for working with children
  • A fair understanding of SEN and SEMH
  • Be able to build meaningful relationships with students and their families
