Learning Support Assistant (LSA) About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dynamic team at our primary school. The successful candidate will work within the classroom setting to provide invaluable support to students with diverse learning needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys and contribute to their overall development.

Learning support assistant (LSA) Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs within the classroom environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum, participating in classroom activities, and completing tasks.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student growth and achievement.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
  • Promote independence and self-confidence in students by encouraging positive behaviors and skills development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation, and provide feedback to teachers as required.

Learning support assistant (LSA) Requirements:

  • Learning support assistant (LSA) Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' learning and development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from teaching staff.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn and grow in the role.
