The school – SEN Teaching Assistant

The specialist SEN school in Essex and Chelmsford areas are focused on supporting pupils aged Early years to 19 years old students with moderate to severe Learning difficulties and associated complexities. The schools accommodate a variety of different aged students and a restricted group size to ensure each student’s pathway and program is individually catered for and supplements this with a strict teacher-to student ratio. All pupils are post ECHP. most schools are located near excellent public transport links with limited staff parking in place.

The role – SEN Teaching Assistant

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have had previous experience of working with students with severe behavioral issues and come from a school background where challenging behavior is part of everyday school life. The role would require you to work 1:1 with different aged students from a troubled backgrounds as well as group work both indoors and outdoors.

This role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Successful candidates must satisfy all safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS check on the update service.
